Our Courses

Abacus Program

ABACUS is a tool used to solve simple mathematical problem such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Our Abacus program will train children to master the use of abacus to solve simple mathematical problem. Once the child has mastered abacus, the child will be taught abacus visualization in mind and to solve mathematical problem without abacus. This is called Mental Arithmetic. Mental Arithmetic had been proven to scientifically enhance learning and concentration, as well as memory, and creativity. Therefore, mental arithmetic should not be viewed only as a tool that helps children improve math grades. It challenges the way they think and focus, and shapes the way they are

  • visualise and imagine
  • work with speed and accuracy
  • concentrate on a task
  • memorise details
  • listen and comprehend
  • process information
  • build confidence
  • build creativity

How ABACUS improves brain efficiency?

Our Abacus program works on concept of visualization and photographic memory concept. Our brain is divided into two parts, the LEFT brain and the RIGHT brain. LEFT brain is responsible for analysing the information, concerning with languages and sound. RIGHT brain takes care of integrating information, thinking and creativity. It is crucial to activate BOTH parts of the brain simultaneously to produce better results and abacus is scientifically proven to improve brain efficiency.

Vedic Maths

Vedic Math program applies the ancient system of Indian Mathematics which was rediscovered from the vedas between 1911 and 1918 by respected Late Shri Bharati Krishna Tirthaji (1884 -1960). According to his research, all of mathematics is based on sixteen Sutras, or word formula. These formulas were formulated according to the way the mind naturally works and therefore, it greatly helps a child to solve complex mathematical problem without taxing their minds. These striking and beautiful methods are just a part of a complete system of mathematics which is far more systematic than the modern system. Vedic Mathematics manifests the coherent and unified structure of mathematics and the methods are complementary, direct, and easy.

Our Vedic Maths Program comprises of 34 formulas to solve mathematical problems in Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Square, Cube, Square Root, Cube Root, Fraction, Result Verification Technique, Tables Making Method, Speed, Average and Time Calculation Formula.

People commonly say that if you want to learn Mathematics, there is only one way to learn it i.e. by Practice because “Practice Makes Man Perfect”. Yes, we agree but practicing similar mathematical problem over and over again will cause boredom and loss of interest especially among children. Our programs are designed to solve this common problem, and on top of that, we are helping to stimulate the child’s mind with Brain Gym, Memory Games, Handwriting, and Calligraphy.

Handwriting

Handwriting is more than a fine motor skill. Handwriting instruction and handwriting skill impact students’ overall literacy development and those early fine motor writing skill predicts later academic achievement.

Handwriting practice is a key component of the motor learning necessary to form letters and numerals correctly. A child, who develops fine motor skill that accompanies learning to write by hand, foresees his/her writing speed and output to increase. Recent brain scan studies have shown that early handwriting skill helps children learn to read faster.

This program is specially designed to improve children’s penmanship in an easy, fun, and practical way. Having a nice handwriting does not only delight the child and parent, but also the examiner.

GCM CALLIGRAPHY

Calligraphy is an ‘Art of Beautiful Writing’ made with the Handwriting is one where we generally write to communicate by using ink pen. Calligraphy is made by using different nibs which are generally flat and oblique. Calligraphy helps bring out the creativity in a child.

There is no one better than Steve Jobs (the co-founder of Apple and Pixar Animation Studios) to verify the importance of Calligraphy in bringing out the creativity in your child.

During the often referenced 2005 commencement speech at Stanford University, Jobs highlighted the importance of calligraphy.

“Much of what I stumbled into by following my curiosity and intuition turned out to be priceless later on. Let me give you one example:

“Reed College at that time offered perhaps the best calligraphy instruction in the country. Throughout the campus every poster, every label on every drawer was beautifully hand calligraphed. Because I had dropped out and didn’t have to take the normal classes, I decided to take a calligraphy class to learn how to do this. I learned about serif and sans-serif typefaces, about varying the amount of space between different letter combinations, about what makes great typography great. It was beautiful, historical, artistically subtle in a way that science can’t capture, and I found it fascinating.

“None of this had even a hope of any practical application in my life. But 10 years later, when we were designing the first Macintosh computer, it all came back to me. And we designed it all into the Mac. It was the first computer with beautiful typography. If I had never dropped in on that single course in college, the Mac would have never had multiple typefaces or proportionally spaced fonts. And since Windows just copied the Mac, it’s likely that no personal computer would have them. If I had never dropped out, I would have never dropped in on this calligraphy class, and personal computers might not have the wonderful typography that they do. Of course, it was impossible to connect the dots looking forward when I was in college. But it was very, very clear looking backwards 10 years later.”
